REVOLUTIONARY HONORS FOR ERNESTO BUSTILLOS

On March 29th, Unión del Barrio rendered military salute to our Revolutionary Comrade Ernesto Bustillos for his sacrifice and commitment in the struggle for National Liberation of the Mexicano people from U.S. settler colonialism, and for a United Socialist Mexico and Nuestra América.

As the Founder, Coordinator, Chairman, General Secretary- among the many other roles within Unión del Barrio- our Security Brigade provided the presentation of the Mexican flag and the Party flag to be raised at half staff at Chicano Park, for a period of mourning for 5 days until his physical remains are laid to rest.

El 29 de marzo, Unión del Barrio rindió homenaje militar a nuestro Compañero Revolucionario Ernesto Bustillos, por su sacrificio y compromiso en la lucha por la Liberación Nacional del pueblo Mexicano del colonialismo gringo, y por la Reunificación Socialista de México y de Nuestra América.

Como fundador, coordinador, Chairman, y Secretario General del Partido- entre muchas otras funciones que tuvo en el transcurso de su militancia en Unión del Barrio- las Brigadas de Seguridad izaron nuestro lábaro patrio y la bandera del Partido a media asta para honrar a nuestro compañero y llamar un periodo de luto por 5 días hasta el ultimo descanso de sus restos.

SAN DIEGO, CALIFORNIA- Today (March 29^th) Unión del Barrio will hold a flag raising ceremony at 6pm in honor of long time San Diego activist and teacher, Ernesto Bustillos at Chicano Park.  This event is held two days after his unexpected death this past Monday, March 26^th.  The family, community members, Chicano activists past and present, will gather to pay tribute and honor the historic legacy of Revolutionary activism that Ernesto Bustillos practiced over his lifetime.

Ernesto Bustillos was an unwavering and dedicated combatant to the cause of the poor, the exploited, and the oppressed the world over. He was a fervent anti-imperialist, who loved his people deeply. Always an Internationalist, he was a freedom fighter for the rights of the Mexican people on both sides of the illegally imposed imperialist border, which divides Mexico.

Ernesto was a guiding political leader for Unión del Barrio, and for our movement, advancing at every turn the struggle for Raza self-determination and liberation. Before and since the founding of Unión del Barrio in 1981, he struggled everyday, and he never gave up la causa, working tirelessly to end the human suffering imposed on the world by capitalist greed and exploitation.

SAN DIEGO, CALIFORNIA- Hoy, 29 de marzo de 2012, Unión del Barrio realizará una ceremonia en homenaje al maestro y activista Ernesto Bustillos a partir de las 6 de la tarde en el Parque Chicano. Este evento se realiza a dos días de la inesperada muerte de nuestro dirigente el pasado 26 de marzo. La familia, miembros de la comunidad, activistas del movimiento Chicano, y la militancia de Unión del Barrio, se darán cita para honrar el legado revolucionario que demostró Ernesto Bustillos en el transcurso de su vida.

Ernesto Bustillos jamás vacilo en el combate por los pobres, los explotados, y los pueblos oprimidos del mundo. Siempre fue un ferviente anti-imperialista, quien demostró un profundo amor hacia su pueblo. Siempre un internacionalista y combatiente por la liberación del pueblo Mexicano en ambos lados de la frontera imperial que hoy divide a México.

Ernesto siempre fue un guía político para Unión del Barrio y para nuestro movimiento, avanzando la causa por la libre-determinación y liberación del pueblo Mexicano. Antes y después de la fundación de Unión del Barrio en 1981, Ernesto luchó cada día, sin descanso, para poner un alto al sufrimiento del ser humano quien sufre la explotación y avaricia del capitalismo cruel y salvaje.

It is with great pain and a heavy heart that Unión del Barrio informs the Mexicano Liberation Movement and its supporters that we have lost a leading figure of our cause. The co-founder of our organization and leading member, Ernesto Bustillos passed away this afternoon, March 26, 2012, from complications resulting from cancer.

Ernesto Bustillos was an unwavering and dedicated combatant to the cause of the poor, the exploited, and oppressed people’s the world over. He was a fervent anti-imperialist, anti-Capitalist, and anti-Colonialist, but most importantly he exuded a deep love for his people. Always an Internationalist and a National Liberation fighter, Compañero Ernesto stood tall among the struggling Mexicano people on both sides of the imperialist border.

Ernesto was a guiding political leader for Unión del Barrio, and for our movement, advancing at every turn the struggle for Raza self-determination and liberation. Before and since the founding of Unión del Barrio in 1981, he struggled everyday, and he never gave up la causa, completing tasks for the organization to his final days.

Ernesto was with his family and friends at the time of his passing.

Con gran dolor Unión del Barrio informa al Movimiento de Liberación Mexicano, y sus aliado, que hemos perdido físicamente a uno de nuestros mas destacado dirigente. El co-fundador de nuestra organización y dirigente, Ernesto Bustillos, falleció esta tarde, 26 de marzo 2012, de complicaciones del cáncer.

Ernesto Bustillos jamás vacilo en el combate por los pobres, los explotados, y los pueblos oprimidos del mundo. Siempre fue un ferviente anti-imperialista, anti-capitalista, y contra del colonialismo. Ante todo un ser humano que demostró un profundo amor por su pueblo. Siempre un internacionalista y combatiente por la liberación. Ernesto fue un gigante ante la lucha de los Mexicanos por su liberación, en ambos lados de la frontera imperial.

Ernesto fue un dirigente quien guió a Unión del Barrio y nuestro movimiento, avanzando en todo momento y en toda hora la lucha por la libre-determinación de la Raza. Antes y desde la fundación de Unión del Barrio en 1981, él luchó todos los días, y nunca claudico a la causa, cumpliendo tareas políticas para la organización hasta sus últimos días.

Ernesto estaba con su familia y sus amigos en el momento de su fallecimiento.
