Las luchas de los pueblos no conocen fronteras. Los imponentes muros entre EEUU y México no fueron suficientes para impedir que llegue la Caravana 43 a más de 45 ciudades de Estados Unidos con el reclamo de justicia. La estrategia del gobierno mexicano de callar y sofocar la lucha legítima de los padres en busca de sus hijos también ha fracasado.

Unión del Barrio, una organización que opera en el Sur de California y que lucha por la liberación del pueblo Mexicano, así como cientos de otras organizaciones a nivel nacional, da la más fraternal bienvenida a los representantes de la lucha por los 43 estudiantes de la Normal Isidro Burgos de Ayotzinapa, Guerrero, México. Desde el 8 de octubre de 2014 Unión del Barrio declaró responsable a los tres niveles del gobierno mexicano por la desaparición forzada de los 43 normalistas (https://uniondelbarrio.org/main/?p=1076).

Unión del Barrio acompaña a las familias en su justa demanda por la aparición con vida de los 43 estudiantes que ha continuado y seguirá siendo parte de nuestro caminar. De igual forma exigimos castigo a los intelectual y materialmente responsables, renuncia del Presidente Enrique Peña Nieto y fin al intervencionismo militar norteamericano conocido formalmente como el Plan Mérida. Este caminar no cesará hasta que los 43 estudiantes regresen con vida al seno de sus familias y de su pueblo.

Peoples struggle respects no borders. The walls that divide Mexico and the US are not imposing enough to keep out the demands for justice brought to 45 US cities by the Caravana 43. The efforts by the Mexican government to stifle and silence the legitimate struggle of parents on behalf of their children has failed miserably.

Unión del Barrio, as an organization based in Southern California that fights for the liberation of Mexican people, has joined with hundreds of other organizations to offer our most fraternal welcome to the representatives of the struggle for the 43 students from the Normal Isidro Ayotzinapa Burgos, Guerrero, Mexico. On October 8, 2014 Unión del Barrio made it clear that responsibility for the forced disappearance of the 43 normalistas was tied directly to the actions of all three levels of Mexican government (https://uniondelbarrio.org/main/?p=1076).

Unión del Barrio joins these families in demanding the well being and return of the 43 students – this is and will remain a part of our efforts. Furthermore, we demand that the perpetrators and intellectual authors be punished, we call for the resignation of Enrique Peña Nieto, and an end to the North American military intervention formally known as Plan Mérida. This struggle will not cease until the 43 students are returned and can be with their families and their people once again.
