December 10, 2014<\/p>\n

This December 10th, the 66th<\/sup> Anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the general membership of Uni\u00f3n del Barrio condemns and rejects the contrived laws, reactionary practices, and fascistic norms used by the United States government as part of its imperial arsenal as evidenced in the recently released torture report.<\/p>\n

This report, in spite of being partially published and heavily redacted before being released by the U.S. Senate, confirms what the entire world has known since the declaration of \u201cPreventive Wars\u201d against all \u201creal or perceived enemies\u201d as pronounced by George W. Bush and Richard Cheney after September 11, 2001.<\/p>\n

Subsequently, Obama has shown no reservation in his deployment of the same criminal logic as justification of drone strikes throughout the Middle East and Africa. These extrajudicial killings have claimed the lives of hundreds of people, with many civilian casualties among them children.<\/p>\n

U.S. domestic policies underscore this violent and tortured foreign policy. Working class communities across the country, primarily those populated by African American and Mexican people, have endured an increasingly shameless display of state violence and impunity, embodied in the cases of Michael Brown in Ferguson, Eric Garner in New York, and a long list of similar cases of along the U.S.\/Mexico border, such as that of the murder of Anastasio Hernandez Rojas. Each of these examples is evidence that there is no justice to be found for Mexican, African American, and working class communities within the United States.<\/p>\n

Clearly, it is U.S. policy to simultaneously spread international conflict and systematically destroy communities through the mass incarceration and mass deportation of working class people, including the imprisonment of migrant youth and families forced to endure family separation as a consequence of the more than 2 million raza deported during the Obama Administration alone. These policies are fully funded and expanded as profit margins rise within the prison and military industrial complex.<\/p>\n

In the face of this dangerous world situation, where the U.S. has become the most egregious violator of human rights, we must recommit ourselves to the struggle to build a fundamentally different society and a participatory democracy. In the name of international human rights and considering the scale of the problems we must overcome, Uni\u00f3n del Barrio urgently invites all our allies to unite with this effort.<\/p>\n

Este 10 de diciembre – en ocasi\u00f3n del 66 aniversario de la Declaraci\u00f3n de los Derechos Humanos \u2013 las compa\u00f1eras y compa\u00f1eros que militamos en Uni\u00f3n del Barrio rechazamos y condenamos las practicas, leyes y normas que ejerce los Estados Unidos de Norte Am\u00e9rica al darse a conocer el reporte sobre el uso de la tortura como herramienta pol\u00edtica en el arsenal norteamericano.<\/p>\n

El reporte publicado por parte del senado norteamericano confirma el crimen que el mundo ha denunciado desde el inicio de la \u201cguerra preventiva\u201d que desat\u00f3 contra todo enemigo percibido y\/o imaginado la administraci\u00f3n de Bush y Cheney despu\u00e9s del 11 de septiembre del 2001.<\/p>\n

Igualmente, Obama goza de las mismas pol\u00edticas criminales que utiliza para lanzar ataques con aviones no tripulados, arrebatando la vida de manera extrajudicial a personas en el medio oriente y en \u00c1frica, muchas de las bajas resultan ser de civiles, entre ellos ni\u00f1os.<\/p>\n

La pol\u00edtica interna de EEUU en materia de los derechos humanos refleja su pol\u00edtica exterior. Las comunidades de la clase trabajadora mayormente negra y latinoamericana han vivido la impunidad ahora encarnada en los casos de Michael Brown en Ferguson, Eric Garner en Nueva York, y similarmente, el casos de Anastasio Hern\u00e1ndez Rojas en San Diego, donde queda evidente de que no existe justicia para el pueblo mexicano o afro-descendiente en EEUU.<\/p>\n

El encarcelamiento masivo de trabajadores pobres, j\u00f3venes migrantes, familias enteras, y la separaci\u00f3n familiar mediante la deportaci\u00f3n masiva, cuya cifra supera los 2 millones de personas solo bajo la administraci\u00f3n de Obama, nos indica que la pol\u00edtica de estado tiene como fin la destrucci\u00f3n sistem\u00e1tica de comunidades pobres en beneficio de las empresas carcelarias y b\u00e9licas que lucran de dicha pol\u00edtica de estado.<\/p>\n

Ante este escenario tan peligroso donde el imperio norteamericano resulta ser el peor estado en materia de los Derechos Humanos, nosotros los mexicanos y latinoamericanos que vivimos en sus entra\u00f1as nos comprometemos a luchar en construcci\u00f3n de una sociedad fundamentalmente diferente e invitamos a nuestros aliados y colaboradores en unificar nuestros esfuerzos para luchar en construir una democracia participativa como el \u00fanico camino para construir un mejor ma\u00f1ana.<\/p>\n
