We are deeply saddened to share the news of our Compa\u00f1era Isamar Ayala Soto’s passing on Monday, October 19, 2026.<\/p>\n

Compa Isa was born and raised in San Diego\u2019s Barrio Logan alongside her two sisters and mother. She attended Lindsay Community School before going on to San Diego State University, where she earned degrees in Chicano Studies and Psychology, followed by a Master\u2019s in Social Work. Her deep roots in the community that raised her, together with her politicization as a young mujer, shaped her commitment to the struggle for our people\u2019s liberation. Upon graduating, she enthusiastically joined Uni\u00f3n del Barrio and dedicated herself to building revolutionary organization in our communities.<\/p>\n

Despite the immense responsibilities she carried – working two jobs, raising her young son as a single mother, serving as a pillar for her extended family, and completing an arduous internship – Compa\u00f1era Isa remained steadfast in her commitment to the struggle.<\/p>\n

She was una joven rebelde, wholly committed to the work of organizing with San Diego\u2019s barrio youth. She believed, with conviction, that another world was possible. Compa Isamar represents the struggle of our community: a young mother, carrying the immense burdens imposed on our working-class gente, yet demonstrating the strength, dignity, and revolutionary potential of our people.<\/p>\n

Her life reminds us that those who endure the worst of these current conditions are the very people at the heart of our struggle. Her spirit lives on in our collective resistance, in the work of our organization, and in our determination to build the world she fought for.<\/p>\n

We honor her memory by deepening our commitment to the struggle and carrying forward the fight until victory.<\/p>\n

Nos entristece profundamente compartir la noticia del fallecimiento de nuestra Compa\u00f1era Isamar Ayala Soto el lunes 19 de octubre de 2026.<\/p>\n

Compa Isa naci\u00f3 y creci\u00f3 en el Barrio Logan en San Diego junto a sus dos hermanas y su madre. Asisti\u00f3 a la escuela comunitaria de Lindsay antes de ir a la Universidad Estatal de San Diego, donde obtuvo t\u00edtulos en Estudios Chicanos y Psicolog\u00eda, seguidos de una Maestr\u00eda en Trabajo Social. Su profundo arraigo en la comunidad que la cri\u00f3, junto con su politizaci\u00f3n como mujer joven, moldearon su compromiso con la lucha por la liberaci\u00f3n de nuestro pueblo. Al graduarse, se uni\u00f3 con entusiasmo a Uni\u00f3n del Barrio y se dedic\u00f3 a construir la organizaci\u00f3n revolucionaria en nuestras comunidades.<\/p>\n

A pesar de las inmensas responsabilidades que acarreaba (tener dos trabajos, criar a su hijo como madre soltera, servir como pilar para su familia extendida y completar una ardua pasant\u00eda), la compa\u00f1era Isa se mantuvo firme en su compromiso con la lucha.<\/p>\n

Ella era una joven rebelde, totalmente comprometida con el trabajo de organizaci\u00f3n de la juventud del barrio de San Diego. Cre\u00eda, con convicci\u00f3n, que otro mundo era posible. Compa Isamar representa la lucha de nuestra comunidad: una madre joven, que llev\u00f3 las inmensas cargas impuestas a nuestra gente de clase trabajadora, pero que demostr\u00f3 la fuerza, la dignidad y el potencial revolucionario de nuestro pueblo.<\/p>\n

Su vida nos recuerda que quienes soportan lo peor de estas condiciones actuales son las personas que est\u00e1n en el centro de nuestra lucha. Su esp\u00edritu sigue vivo en nuestra resistencia colectiva, en el trabajo de nuestra organizaci\u00f3n y en nuestra determinaci\u00f3n de construir el mundo por el que ella luch\u00f3.<\/p>\n

Honramos su memoria profundizando nuestro compromiso con la lucha y llevando adelante la lucha hasta la victoria.<\/p>\n
