UdB Recommended Videos

Great videos from non-UdB sources that are useful for building critical political consciousness. Most of these videos are short, easy to follow, and available for free online. These are very good resources that provide an introductory view of history and political struggle.

20 Years ¿Y Que? (1990). An older production detailing the history of the 1970 Chicano Moratorium in East LA, and the building of the 1990 20th Commemoration being organized by the NCMC.

A People’s History of the Mexican Revolution (2012)Somos Raza magazine (a barrio youth project of UdB) offers this short but well researched overview of the Mexican Revolution.

The Revolution Will Not Be Televised – Chávez: Inside the Coup (2003). An excellent documentary about the 2002 Venezuelan coup against Hugo Chavéz.

Viva La Causa (1995). An older production about Chicana/o history. Still one of the best introductory videos for understanding the roots of our struggle.
