This morning, December 16, 2024, at 7:45 am PSD, we received the news that a federal judge in Tampa, Florida, issued a favorable ruling in the case of the Uhuru 3: No fines, No jail time, 3 years of supervised probation, and community service. This is a resounding victory for the Uhuru 3!
After the sentencing, African People’s Socialist Party Chairman Omali Yeshitela, Chairperson of the African People’s Solidarity Committee Penny Hess, and National Chair of the Uhuru Solidarity Movement Jesse Nevel walked out of the U.S. federal courthouse with their heads high. Outside the courthouse, hundreds of supporters stood by their sides, demonstrating our full support!
Unión del Barrio expresses comradely relief and anti-colonial solidarity with the African Revolution and the leadership of the APSP as they continue to challenge and resist attacks by the U.S. Colonial Power. The government’s tactics of intimidation and censorship have once again failed to silence our people’s movements for self-determination and freedom from colonial domination. We salute APSP Chairman Omali Yeshitela, APSC Chairwoman Penny Hess, and USM Chairman Jesse Nevel.
Touch One, TOUCH ALL!
All Power to the People!
Uhuru means Freedom!
